V-Quest is proud to announce that our carbon optimisation tools have been selected as the preferred carbon analysis solution for the Mid Rise Wood Construction Programme by the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI NZ).
This initiative aims to promote the utilisation of locally sourced timber, particularly engineered timber products such as cross laminated timber (CLT) panels, in the construction of mid-rise buildings through pre-fabrication techniques. More information about this program can be found at https://www.mpi.govt.nz/funding-rural-support/primary-growth-partnerships-pgps/current-pgp-programmes/mid-rise-wood-construction/
Over the next 24 months, V-Quest will conduct comprehensive carbon, cost, and building mass analyses for various types of buildings. Our comparative assessment of different construction methods will offer clear insights into the differences in carbon footprint, costs, and building mass for real-world projects. This data will be integral to broader research demonstrating the advantages of mass timber constructions.
